Not just for Bodybuilders....

Let’s talk protein shakes. I will be honest. I am not a fan. Maybe because they taste chalky. Or that I don’t tolerate whey/soy proteins very well. The last time I has had a Strawberry Soy Protein shake, I ended up in anaphylactic shock and in the ER for 4 hours. I have stayed away ever since.

If you have whey/soy sensitivity- you may want to consider trying College Protein Powder. My favorite- Bulletproof- Collagen Protein. Either Chocolate or Vanilla. You can mix it with plain water- or- coconut milk- it’s super yummy and filling.

There are some great benefits for using protein shakes.
·         Muscle Gain- Retaining muscle mass and getting an adequate amount of protein is particularly important for woman as they and their risks of osteoporosis and joint issues increase.
·         Fat Loss- Consuming protein shakes on occasion as a meal replacement may help the body lose more weight and fat when following a low calorie diet.

See, it’s not just for bodybuilders!

My first born....

I know as parents we are supposed to inspire our children. However, sometimes our children inspire us. I haven’t always been the best parent. I have made some costly mistakes. I was young, naive, selfish and plain clueless. When I watch my daughter raise her little family. I am inspired by her honesty, ambition, energy, and courage in which she approaches daily life. I love the way she laughs at things and doesn’t take them too seriously. She is a phenomenal mother. A loving, supporting, and encouraging wife. Today, my daughter is everything I wanted to be at her age, and she is everything I aspire to be today. What I love most about her- she is confident, strong, forgiving, relentless, kind and most of all that she is my first born.....
